About the curator.
Joetta Maue is a full-time artist, mostly working in fibers, based in Brooklyn, NY.
Her work has been included in numerous exhibitions across the world and in New York. Some recent exhibitions include the solo shows: Waking with You at the Elizabeth A. Beland Gallery, Home Sweet Home at Corridor Gallery Project Space, and The Process of Forever at the Basement Gallery. She has also recently been included in the group exhibitions: Fiber Art International Exhibition in Pittsburgh, Pa., and Designing Thread at The Gallery at Mt. Ida College.
You can see a feature on Joetta in the January issue of Needle Magazine.
Joetta's work is featured in a number of upcoming exhibitions including a solo show in 2012 at the Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn, NY.
She will also be a featured artist in the forthcoming book Indie Craft edited by Jo Waterhouse available this October.
Joetta authors the popular art and craft blog Little YellowBird as well as regularly contributes to Mr. X Stitch and the Textile Arts Center blog.
